SKYPE’s main features (3/3)

Security features
One of Skype’s awesome features is Secure communication; because the encryption can’t be disabled, and the user cannot see it. Skype is said to use non-proprietary, widely trusted encryption techniques: It utilizes the RSA for key negotiation and the Advanced Encryption Standard to encrypt conversations. Skype gives an uncontrolled registration system for users with absolutely no proof of identity which permits the users to use the system without revealing to other users who they are.
Of course it is easy for just anybody to make an account using made up names; when this happens the displayed caller’s name is no guarantee of authenticity.
